Crescent's Spring Concert Entertained Everyone
Crescent School's Spring Concert took place on Monday afternoon, with the school hall packed with parents eager to be entertained by an afternoon of fine music and song. They were not disappointed!
Brass Group opened the concert, belting out two pieces confidently, the theme from James Bond and Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. The breadth of instruments and standard of play impressing all. They were followed by a mix of instrumental solos and music group performances, all showcasing their talent, hard work and dedication.
Wacky Music had great fun performing Drunken Sailor. Orchestra were amazing, they performed two pieces from their recent Foundation workshop, Fossils and Bright Eyes. While the two Flute Groups played a mix of pieces including two written especially for them, Flute Chat and Spring Is Here.
Years 3 and 4 enthusiastically sang their hearts performing three songs from the Heroes Of Troy.
Performing solos in the concert, many of them exam pieces, were Harry on Saxophone, Sophia on piano, Isabel on trumpet, Lilah on guitar, Lily on violin, Alice on flute and Matthew on recorder.
The concert concluded with a powerful performance by the Choir. Pupils from Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 sang four pieces enthusiastically, Sing Together, The Glory Of Love, Someone You Loved and Try Everything.
Our enormous thanks and congratulations go to all Crescent School's accomplished performers who took to the stage in front of their proud parents and of course to all their teachers and Director of Music, Julie Barnes who have helped them achieve so much.
