The Crescent is a thriving co-educational independent day school for around 190 children aged 4 to 11 years, based in Bilton, Rugby. Tailoring learning to individual needs, we support all our pupils to achieve great things in a happy and caring environment.

A little school with big ambitions, our dedicated staff pride themselves on really knowing our pupils well and bringing out the very best in all of them. This philosophy applies in the classroom, on the sports field and in many extra-curricular pursuits, including music and drama. This breeds positivity and pupils achieve great things over the course of their Crescent school career.

We specialise in preparing children for their first choice of senior school. Many continue on to Princethorpe and we also enjoy a high degree of success in pupils gaining local grammar school places

VAT on School Fees – The Foundation’s Response

Since August 2024 we have had a long-term fee strategy to minimise the impact of VAT and other external pressures on our families whilst maintaining educational excellence. In January 2025 the Foundation reduced its fees so that the increase passed on to parents was 5%, substantially less than the 20% VAT rate.

We remain ever mindful of the challenges facing those who pay school fees, and our aim as always is keep fees as affordable as possible, whilst continuing to provide the highest standard of education and pastoral care for our pupils. To see our current fees click here.
